Cabo San Lucas and Los Cabos Golf Information
Anyone in the know about resort vacations can tell you that Cabo San Lucas is justifiably famous for its lush surroundings, stunning beaches, fantastic villas and world-class sportfishing. What they might not know, and what you need to discover, is that Cabo San Lucas is also one of the world's greatest golf destinations. In its list of the top 50 worldwide golf destinations, Golf Digest listed Cabo San Lucas 14th.

The old pros know Los Cabos. The PGA's Senior Slam Tournament has called the area home since 1995, with some of the biggest names in golf history gathering yearly to soak up the sun and enjoy the scenery. Cabo golf courses are an integral part of the Los Cabos landscape. They meander through the strip of lush land between the desert and the ocean, touching both and showing the best faces of each. There's nearly a course worth of oceanfront holes alone!

Fair warning: while the Cabo golf courses are beautiful, they are not for the novice. The holes are very challenging, with everything from arroyos (dry riverbeds) instead of sand traps to cactus in the deep rough that can make those chips back into the fairway quite interesting. Be sure to bring some extra golf balls and a pocket full of patience! However, playing a solid round on a Cab courso golf course will leave you with a feeling of achievement your local country club or municipal course can't match. The green fees and other costs will add up to roughly $200, which is very reasonable for resort-quality golf. Match the quality of the Cabo golf courses with the incredible scenery, and you've got one of the world's great golf values!
